About Clear Tender
Being good at the work is not the same as being seen.
Who runs it
Clear Tender is run by Adam Parker, who has spent years on both sides of the same problem.
Running a stone masonry business, he saw it from the design world's point of view: brilliant makers who never got found, because the right person for a job is so rarely the easiest one to see. The work went to whoever marketed best, not whoever was best.
Working alongside manufacturers, he saw the mirror image. As a business, you tend to stay with the suppliers you already know - not because they're the best value or the best fit, but because finding and testing anyone else takes time you can't spare. So you make do with what's in front of you, and never quite know what else is out there.
Two different worlds, the same gap: the people who need something and the people who could provide it, never quite finding each other. Clear Tender was built to close it - to save people the time, and to make the connection that would otherwise never happen.
I came up through the stone trade, where I learned that being good at the work is not the same as being seen. Some of the most capable carvers and workshops I knew relied almost entirely on word of mouth, while work often went to the businesses that were easiest to find. Clear Tender was created to help clients look beyond the obvious names and give capable makers a chance to do the work.

The idea behind the name
The logo says it in one image.
Our mark is an hourglass. At the top, the professional and their brief - the drawing, the specification, the detail, already in hand. At the bottom, the maker or supplier who can deliver it. And in the middle, Clear Tender: the point they pass through to find each other.
It was drawn to represent exactly what we set out to do - connect the people who know what they need with the people who can do the work, whatever their marketing budget. Because the best person for a job isn't always the easiest one to find.
